Biography

Tom Yochum, Vice Chair, of Winter Park, is the retired president, chair, and chief executive officer of SunTrust Bank, Central Florida. He is currently the director of Community Services and Business Strategy for the firm of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed P.A. He is also chair of the Seaside National Bank & Trust, headquartered in Orlando. He is a member of the UCF Foundation Board of Directors, Florida Hospital Foundation, Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, Florida Bankers Association, Orlando Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the UCP Foundation Board. He served on the Valencia Community College Foundation, the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission, Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Overseers, Heart of Florida United Way, and the American Cancer Society. He is a recipient of the James B. Greene Award in recognition of his work for economic development in Central Florida. He received his bachelor's degree from Rollins College in 1974. He is a charter member of the UCF Board of Trustees.
