Dr. John L. Evans Jr. is a lifetime Central Floridian, and his father was a longtime history professor at what was then FTU and later UCF. Dr. Evans is the co-founder of Casselberry’s Promising People, an ed-tech company dedicated to reducing recidivism by half through Virtual Reality training for the trades. He is also a partner at Manhattan’s Parkway Venture Capital. He began his career as Special Assistant to then United States Senator Connie Mack. Evans has been a longtime contributor to the Orlando Sentinel and Forbes Executive Coach’s Council. He attended Lakemont Elementary, the University of Florida, the University of Miami, and Pepperdine University. He has four children and resides in Winter Park and New Smyrna Beach. Dr. Evans regularly attends St. Margaret Mary Church in Winter Park.
