Alan Florez
Board Member
Alan S. Florez is the Chief Sales Officer of Foundation Risk Partners (FRP), a commercial insurance and risk solutions company headquartered in Ormond Beach, FL. After several years leading top-performing agencies in the industry, Alan came to FRP shortly after its founding in 2017 as an early-stage leader to launch the initial sales production platform. He helped it rapidly become one of the top 20 largest commercial operations in the United States. Today, FRP has over 200 locations across 24 states.
Trustee Florez has been involved in numerous community organizations including the Futures Foundation for Volusia County Schools, Stewart March-Act Board of Directors, Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce and Take Stock in Children. Currently, Mr. Florez serves as the Chairman of the Halifax Health Board of Commissioners and is a member of the Florida Council of 100. Most recently, Alan was given the Glenn Ritchey Leadership Award by the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Florez received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Central Florida and has been an active member of the UCF community for several years. His past UCF involvement includes serving on the UCF Board of Trustees from 2006-2016, the UCF Athletic Association Board of Directors, and the UCF Foundation Board of Directors. In 2017, Trustee Florez was a UCF College of Sciences Distinguished Alumni Award Winner.
Prior to his career in the insurance industry, Florez served as Governor Jeb Bush’s Deputy Director of Legislative Affairs and as his Special Assistant from 2001-2004.
Alan lives in Ormond Beach, Florida with his wife Justine and they have two children.
